Mitchell appoints Philip O’Neill as MD

Mitchell Communication Group Limited today announced the appointment of Philip O’Neill as managing director of Media in New Zealand. O’Neill was previously managing director of M&C Saatchi New Zealand and Whybin\TBWA, Melbourne and in between those two roles, he was general manager of TBWA\Whybin, Auckland.

“Philip’s appointment adds critical skills, relationships and experience necessary in order for our Media business to make the transition to becoming a strong communications company in New Zealand,” says Stuart Mitchell, CEO of Mitchell Communication Group. “We’ve deliberately taken the necessary time finding the right person, with a broad communications background in New Zealand, to lead our business into a new phase.”

I’m looking to enhance this reputation as we grow our business over the next few years.”

O’Neill will take immediate responsibility for the group’s Media agencies Mitchell & Partners and MPG in New Zealand.
