Go Aim. Testament to the people and the work. Congrats.
Testamant also to the number of places they’re entering their few awarded campaigns. But that’s the game and well played.
Its not really a game – it’s about having done great work. Given theirs is paying work originating from client briefs, and not done for the purpose of entering awards, I say good on them.
Very blurred lines on who did the work though. When Colenso enters it, it’s Colenso’s. When Aim enters it, it’s Aim’s. Two agencies getting a lot of mileage out of entering the same campaigns. That’s the game that’s being well played.
There’s only one campaign that has both colenso and aim in the Won report article. My understanding is that they both worked on it – one did the advertising, the other the digital and direct. There’s no game, just reality as to how they work. Colenso work doesn’t get entered with aim in it unless they’ve worked on it and vice versa, pretty obvious really, as since when did creatives want to share glory to people not involved in the work? never.
Seems to me that they have figured out the power of getting the mix right, where other agencies haven’t yet.
Well thank goodness they’re working together so well – clearly no one will lose their jobs in the merger. Oh, apart from all the ones that have.
Aim should have blown something up. A car, a billboard, a big balloon. That’s how you win awards in NZ. Oh, and get a regional council. And Steve, you’re so right. Aim and Colenso were the only two agencies to let people go. Dick.
There’s no merger – they are run seperately.
Interesting list. A different order than the ratings list only half a dozen posts ago. Dynamic industry eh?
I think we have a serious case of Clayton Weatherstons.
