Oktobor adds senior producer, digital Amanda Kabel and two new account managers to its team

Continuing its recent string of new appointments, award winning visual effects and animation studio Oktobor has added senior producer, digital Amanda Kabel (pictured) and two new account managers to its team.

Says Oktobor GM Bruce Everett: “The policy at Oktobor is to hire the best talent and create the best possible team in order to give our clients what they require and indeed, exceed their expectations. I’m delighted to say that our three new appointments do exactly that. We are expanding our account management team with the very experienced Cristina Caseres and Zoe Jones who returns to us after a short break and have created the new role of senior producer, digital which is being filled by industry heavyweight Amanda Kabel. Cristina and Zoe will work under our account director Ganesh Raj and Amanda alongside myself and the senior creative team.”

Oktobor’s new senior producer, digital Amanda Kabel is another big coupfor the company. Kabel is known in the industry most recently in herrole as Owner/Operator of production services company Kabel TV whereshe had a who’s who client list including DDB, Whybin TBWA, GreyAdvertising and Lowe working on campaigns for Vodafone, NZ lotteriesCommission, Tegel, ASB Bank, Nissan, The Warehouse, Griffin’s and Wooshamongst many others. Prior to owning Kabel TV she was Head of TVProduction at Young & Rubicam (previously known as Mattingly &Partners). Her role at Y&R included the daily management of theirTV Production Department where she was responsible for million-dollartelevision budget productions for clients including Air New Zealand,Caltex – Star Mart, Woolworths, PlaceMakers, Farmers, Deka, Mazda,Beaurepaires, Casio, Pioneer, Oxfam and David Reid Electronics.

Cristina Casares (left) brings with her a 14-year Animator/Director/Producerbackground in the industry. She was the director and founder of La LunaStudios in New Zealand and has worked in many top facilities around theworld. Notably, her experience includes Production Management at ThePixel Factory (USA), Chilefilms Group (Chile/Argentina) where she setup the first motion capture facility in Latin America and was involvedin stereoscopic short film productions. Casares has also coordinatedprojects with Dreamworks, ILM and Weta Workshop.

Oktobor’s second new Account Manager Zoe Jones (left) is a well-recognised andrespected figure in the industry. Jones returns to Oktobor after ashort hiatus having previously been a Producer at the company. Jonesoriginally joined from the VTR Group in London and also has significantexperience in Telecine.

Withthese three new appointments we are able to give better clientmanagement and offer far more in the way of innovative digitalservices.
