MADC taps Blood for 2010 chairman of judges
TheMADC in Melbourne has invited Andy Blood, partner and group executive creativedirector of The TBWA NZ Group, as the chairman of judges for the 2010MADC Awards.
The President of the MADC, Richard Ralphsmith, saidBlood was a natural choice: “Andy has two Cannes Grand Prix and 14Cannes Lions, mostly Gold, in his trophy cabinet. I think he knowsgreat work when he sees it,” Ralphsmith said.
Blood’s networkalso recognises his talent, selecting him as part of the TBWA globalcreative Council ‘The Band of Brothers’ (which does include Sisters).
He will bring plenty of judging experience to the MADC Awards, havingalready judged at D&AD and at Cannes, where he was Australasia’sfirst representative on the Titanium jury.
And in the manner of all the best creative leaders, Blood shares hisideas with others, having recently spoken at TED, for the IAB, and atthe Smarter Data conference in Auckland on the propagation of ideasacross the web and through social media.
The 2010 MADC Awards judges will be announced next week.
