Amnesty International creates awareness with launch of new interactive press ad

Throughout the world, thousands of people every year are detained and imprisoned arbitrarily without a fair trial. Amnesty International has been successfully campaigning for the unconditional release of these prisoners for the past 50 years.
To celebrate this and raise further awareness of their tireless work, Colenso BBDO Auckland produced an interactive press ad. When the reader turns the page, they help Amnesty free the innocent and imprison the guilty.

Wow. Genius. Reminds me of my son’s farm story book with those incredibly genius and never-done-before window-like holes in pages through which you can see things which turn out to be other things.
Kudos guys !
5 cheezburgerz. I liek!
In his frantic stampede to abuse something done by Colenso, 2:16 misses the point of the ad entirely.
Back to your retail catalogue old-timer.
It’s a press ad made to look like a magazine ad. Should have spent the awards retouching budget on the preparation for the entry.
There’s been better for Amnesty.
Once you get to a certain level of seniority, doing scam ads for clients like amnesty just to win awards seems a little pointless. But the same people keep doing them. ah well.
Love it! Shame Colenso spent all it’s money on a new bar instead of keeping their talented staff.
