Show Me Shorts Film Festival – extended final deadline Monday, 11th July

July 11th is your last chance to enter the sixth annual Show Me Shorts Film Festival. This extended deadline is the final opportunity for filmmakers to submit a short film for the 2011 festival and be part of a selection of the very best short films from around the world. Show Me Shorts is going global this year with the addition of a new, out of competition international category. For the first time, entries are open to short films from outside of New Zealand and Australia. The best of the international entrants will join the selection of Australasian shorts in screenings nationwide from 3 November.

Festival director Gina Dellabarca says, “We’re already feeling inspired by the quality and diversity of submissions received so far, which have made us audibly laugh, gasp or even tear up a little bit. Our thematically coordinated series of short film programmes is going to blow audience members away this year.”
