Yahoo! New Zealand ready to celebrate with Digital Strategy Awards Thursday 12th April
Yahoo! New Zealand welcomes in awards season with its 2012 Digital Strategy Awards next month.
All set to celebrate outstanding digital strategy in online campaigns, Yahoo! New Zealand will announce the overall victor in the annual awards ceremony at Snapdragon on Thursday 12th April.
Says Yahoo! New Zealand’s general manager and DSA judge Laura Maxwell-Hansen: “We are very impressed with the high calibre of work the four finalist agencies have delivered over the last year. They really pushed the boundaries and understand it is strategic thinking that is key to delivering excellent online campaigns.”
Draft FCB, won three of the four quarterly awards, and will be competing for the overall
title against PHDIQ.
The showdown will take place on April 12th and will be refereed by 7 Days comedian Ben
Hurley.
Maxwell-Hansen added: “It’s shaping up to be a really fun night with a few surprises in store for guests. We will be staying true to the unique Yahoo! New Zealand brand by hosting a not-so-traditional awards ceremony.”
The winner will win $10,000 of media on Yahoo! New Zealand.
The campaigns in the running are:
Quarter 1 winner: Draft FCB for their BMW Summer Sale campaign.
Quarter 2 winner: Universal McCann (Draft FCB) for their Maybelline Baby Lips campaign
Quarter 3 winner: Draft FCB and Electricity Authority for the Consumer Switching
campaign
Quarter 4 winner: PHDIQ for its Unilever Dove Makeup Remover campaign
