Y&R wins Esquires Coffee Houses business
Y&R have picked up the Esquires Coffee Houses business following a review of several local creative agencies.
Says James Hurman, Y&R managing director James Hurman says the agency is excited about working with their newest client on their brand and customer experience.
Says Hurman: “Esquires are an enduring part of a category that New Zealanders are fanatical about. It’s a great opportunity. Besides, pretty much every idea any of us has ever had has been thanks in large part to coffee. It’s time to give back.”
Esquires is part of leading Australasian multi food franchisor Retail Food Group.
Says Joanne Hall, RFG brand marketing manager: “Y&R’s insightful approach to business problems has led to strong results for their clients. They impressed us with both their credentials and overall enthusiasm for contributing to the results of Esquires.”
Esquires’ media buying will be retained by Mediacom.

Fingers crossed that they don’t get shown the door in a ‘fit of pique’ any time soon.
baaaahahaha. Enjoy.
So Hurman thinks that we’re fanatical about Esquires. Has he tried their disgusting coffee and paid their exorbitant prices? Some things advertising cannnot fix.
Oooo somebody knows how to use a Thesaurus
Isn’t it about time Y&R turned their ‘insightful approach to business problems’ on themselves? just saying.
Lolz. So true.
Enduring part of a category NZers are fanatical about. Maybe in Ponsonby and and Courtney Place.
God. Such snarky comments. I was going to say something nice but now I just feel stink. Nah, screw you haters. GO Y&R!!!!
‘Snarky’ my friend is firing a client in a ‘fit of pique’. I just effing love that decription so much. ‘Mr Fit of Pique’ anyone? Love it!
I hope they can better the tv, print, radio and online campaign they did last year. Oh, hang on….
These two were there when Lowe shut down, let’s see what they can do for Y&R.
Both are sure to entice the MArketing Ms’s of Auckland – briefly.
Looks like the hurman beard prevails…
