FCB New Zealand promotes head of integration Fleur Head to the role of managing director
FCB New Zealand has appointed Fleur Head to managing director, FCB Auckland. Fleur was previously head of integration at FCB.
Says Brian van den Hurk, CEO, FCB: “The managing director will be responsible for driving the ongoing transformation of FCB’s business with a specific focus on the diversification of our services to the benefit of our clients. Fleur will lead this, with my support and that of the wider management team, to ensure we continue to drive this innovation through our business.
“Fleur has always been a champion of creativity and that, coupled with her strategic thinking, means she has been a major contributor to our clients’ success. I’m sure she will apply that approach to her new role.”
Fleur will continue her involvement in client business and takes up the managing director position with immediate effect.

This is great news for Fleur, FCB and FCB clients but it’s also great news for women in advertising. This girl can.
It’s also great for the brave white men whom had the foresight to promote someone who’s great at their job, not because they felt they should jump on a bandwagon and promote someone based upon their gender.

@Really, the point is there are very few women MDs in advertising (try counting, it won’t take you long). Young women need to see other women in these positions to encourage the belief they too could be at the top table some day. Take your male-tinted glasses off and see for yourself, gender inequality is still an issue in this country. Congratulations, Fleur, a well deserved appointment.
