Bloody brilliant – clever, insightful, simple and clearly explains the issue!Should win metal in the right category……No, I do not work for Whybins, nor do I know the creative team – in fact I don’t even live in Auckland. It’s just nice to see smart, relevent work every now and again!
It’s nice but applying a traffic light analogy to different things is an old chestnut. It’s a no go zone for me sorry. Up there with gnomes, astronauts and jigsaw puzzles.
6.41pm. Not a PR stunt. Just someone who has to live with MS and understands the concept. And Even an old chestnut can be powerful if applied correctly.
Caveat Emptor. I’m all used up with Latin. I’m just very suss whenever Whybins put something on here. There’s always gushing comments from anonymous people that are congratulatory. Mojo and Saatchis never get that. I do smell a fish. A Whybins PR fish.
What I want to know is what happened to Quintus? Did he split from England after Cogidubnus died? Did he ever hook back up with Caecilius and Matella and his sister whose name I’ve forgotten?
Desinete latinam linguam pervertere! Ein hoc, quomodo intenditis facere illas tabulae adversendae, cum otiose sedentes effluvitis magnopere caccum?Satis. And Karen and Verity’s MS ad is a nice, relevant and utterly poignant piece of communication. Yes, it’s an execution that’s been flogged over the years, but this is easily the most appropriate application I’ve seen yet.Valete
It should definitely be the other way around. The top should be green and the bottom red. It’s all about messages not getting through and not having control. It may seem like a detail but I think it ruins the cleverness of the ad.
Topically, I was walking along Queen Street today and was just about knocked over by an out of control man. His legs were going all over the place! He was yelling ‘STOP!’ but his legs had a mind of their own and wouldn’t listen.Must have had MS.
Average ad. No soul. Technically explains (kind of) the cause/effect of MS but without being engaging. MS means your legs don’t work – yep – so what does the MS Society do about it? How do people cope? what are the real world implications of having MS? These out of London(?) http://www.luerzersarchive.net/searchresults.asp?rp=1&qid=1055030 are a good comparison. they have humanity. suggest the creatives talk to some people with MS and find an insight. that is 71 words right there.
My MS client will post a comment so you lot can shut the fuck up.Do a great ad yourself and post it on the blog.I posted MS so Heidi would give me a gmail address as per her offer a couple of weeks ago.As for ‘I wish someone would give give me award winning briefs to work on’, then show me your book.We won ‘Be the Ball’ from an international creative pitch against the world’s best creative agencies. So fuck you, piss ant. If you think you’re so fucking cool show me your book. I bet it’s shit.Andy Blood
AB – I agree with you. Whoever complained about the ‘Be the ball’ ad is being miserable. However I do agree with some of these comments in regards to the MS ad. Great brief, but just an OK ad considering some MS campaigns that have been done in the past. Surely you can take constructive criticism, you’re a nice guy. I’d expect someone like Steve Back to say ‘fuck you all,’ not you.
Complaining about no good briefs is pathetic.Giving constructive criticism on ads is fine.I think the 3:46 post is right on the money. You looka at those MS ads from London and think, “fuck, that’s what MS is actually like, it’s horrible”.

That is just so real, it’s very clever. Well done.
6:38pm – Nice work Whybin’s PR team.

Good on you girls. I liked the ad when I saw it, I was hoping it was you. It’s really good this. Think that’s worth a bit of bling.CW

What about astronaut gnomes, 7.55? Or is that a visual collision?

Not sure how many of these comments are bona fide. If ya know what I mean.
10.33 Good use of latin here.Yes in good faith it is indeed. MS is a subject close to my heart, that’s why.

Caveat empor however is not used so well here. But if you mean you want to check the goods before you buy.. then you’re just gonna have to trust me.
Amo Amas Amat, Amamus Amatis, Amant. OK. I trust you. Wanna go on a date? I’ve just declined the verb to love in latin for you.
Amor est vitae essentia.A date is out of the question, sorry. I’m spoken for. But thank you for your trust.Aeternum vale.

Caecilius est in Matella. Heh heh.
Cerberus est in Matella. Woof woof!
Grumio preparet canem pour Quentus.

It’s fuckin good. Anyone who says different can suck my mum off. I’ve never seen an ad that is good according to some of you cock bricks.
But… head should say yes, legs say no.
yeah – good call 8:11pm. I guess you still get the idea regardless but you’re right, it is a bit flawed in it’s logic.
Not if the head’s staying stop and the legs won’t.Works either way.
How often does that happen?
Sometimes my head says beer but my legs stay firmly on the sofa. That’s why I got married.
Lorrigan?
Man, can someone give me an MS brief and a global soccer ball launch?
It should definitely be the other way around. The top should be green and the bottom red. It’s all about messages not getting through and not having control. It may seem like a detail but I think it ruins the cleverness of the ad.
It works either way. It’s a good ad.Get over it.
11:17 AM – That is slanderous. I don’t even read this blog.

Agreed. It’s a nice ‘ad’ for ad people but doesn’t really engage me. As a consumer on the street it wouldn’t emotionally strike me.

A soccer ball launch and an MS brief. Who wouldn’t want those briefs? I’m confused. I want them.

Chill bro. Love the ball stuff. Not so much the MS stuff and I said why. No need get all angry and stuff. Cheers.3:46
