If you can even call them ads; No client brief, no target market, no budget, no strategy behind them and no objective other than to try and win an award. The magazine was for the creative sector only – if thats your target market then they may well be legit. But i didn’t see too many ads for sharpies or recruiters or adobe products CFEs in there. Your call really, but if Blood is the only place your ‘ad’ was run then my personal mission will be to out you as the dirty cheat you are. And I don’t think I’m alone on that one. So it boils down to this… how much does a career in advertising mean to you?

Why doesn’t everyone just put their ads in Loot where it’s about $11 for a full page. Other good ones are those skater mags (one’s run out of Mojo I think) or any of those ‘what’s on’ free rags. My mother died last week, I took the opportunity to place a very funny condom scam in the booklet we gave to everyone. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with doing that, according to the rules.

Those ads were in there as the content of the magazine; they didn’t pay to be in there. So, no, they shouldn’t be allowed to be entered for awards.
