I want to cry,..it is so horrible! It must be a joke, or school project for a student in some pseudo ad school in the some small god-forgotten town somewhere. Yikes.

jesus fuck, that was horrible. 1) the animation is just rubbish, 2) the voiceover sounds like a coked transvestite talking smack on the 3am train to Porirua.
It’s nowhere near as bad as some comments say. I think the animation is quite complex.
come on. I like it. at least it’s not set up, set up, gag.
lighten up people. unless you worked on that ‘start smarter’ stuff for the herald. then i can understand why you’re upset.
I think this spot is awesome but would have been even awesomer with Dire Straits, Money For Nothing.

i’m not sure there’s enough flouro in the ad. not sure however about the dire straits soundtrack 1.34 PM – I reckon a dire straits sound-a-like® would be the awesomest. I also would have used a more american v/o and then i would have stuck a different logo on it, maybe a radio station like 1KXZ Nth Carolina. Oh yeah, and I would have changed what the v/o said to something more like “All the hits you remember from those days back then” Oooh, can we please ad some flaming guitars and some walking hammers, that would also be cool, and if the guitars could have little floating mickey mouse gloves playing a killer riff then people would notice them more. could we get rid of the newspaper head and replace it with a dog please too, but the dog needs to be loking at the guitars… hmm… maybe the dog could try and eat of of the white gloves but instead the glove flicks the dogs head, which makes the dog look at the floating radio which is blasting out the money for nothing sound-a-like® (can we please add the radio too – it should also be flaming).sweet, now we’ve got ourselves something awesome.oh yeah, could we get a dancing baby in there too? perhaps the baby is dressed like tina turner? (from beyond thunderdome of course)actually, the more i think about it i think we might need some more floating radios, but they should have angel wings.
I suppose at least it’s an ad with out the obligatory gag or kid in it for a change.
While it’s commendable to do something different, it still needs to be good. This is not, good.
Obligatory gag? THat cynicism makes you sound like you’ve tried really hard but never been able to write a funny script in your life.
i think they screwed this up. i don’t think i will use them. it went nowhere. they added jack. ok the budget might not have been great but shit it’s a little odd the whole thing.

I think this ad is perfect. It absolutely matches the fact that the Sunday Star Times is rubbish.
