Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Teresa Harris to the role of senior strategist, completing its new planning line up.

Harris joins from Proximity London where she spent two years as Planning Director.

Murray Streets, Saatchi & Saatchi Director of Strategy, says the move finalises the agency’s new line-up of strategists and follows the appointment of consumer specialist Debby Giness in December last year. Giness’s background includes more than five years experience as a consumer researcher at Ideaction and Colmar Brunton.

“Teresa’s appointment is another fantastic boost for the new planning team. We now have five strategists who are dedicated to seeing the world through the eyes of New Zealanders at a time when rapidly changing technologies offer fresh opportunities for people to connect with each other and share their stories,” Streets says.

A Kiwi, Teresa has spent the last eight years in the United Kingdom working across a number of service brands such as InterContinental Group hotels and Royal Mail developing through the line communication strategies and digital communications.

“She decided to return to New Zealand late last year and we’ve been lucky enough to now persuade her to join the Telecom team. She confesses to having an obsession with SMEs and digital communications, both of which make her exceptionally well placed to work in the telecommunications space,” Streets says.
