BARNES CATMUR HIRES YOUNG TEAM

Following winning the Pizza Hutt business last week, Barnes Catmur has hired former Axis Adschool creative team Jesse Stevens and Matt Weavers. The pair had been on placement with the agency for a couple of months.
Says creative managing partner, Paul Catmur: “As well as being being talented their attitude and work ethic is fantastic. They are also either really nice people or very good at pretending that they are. Either way this should set them in good stead in their career.”

So how big is the team at BC&F?
Fair play to them. Good luck lads.
Including Catmur’s head 4.06, pretty big.
that guy on the left sure has a sweet haircut..
Well done guys.
ps: Don’t give The Cat chocolate before you present to him. Makes him sleepy.
ECD?
Was Worldwide President (Creative) taken?
What a joke
You’re all a bunch of sourpussies about the cat.
Pizza.Hut.
Not to be confused with Lower. Hutt.
Or Jabba.the.Hutt
I think that guy on the right cleaned my windows when I drove to the airport last Friday.
Catmur’s title is Creative Managing Partner, not ECD. Our mistake, not his.
How much are they making?
Because after all, we’re all such nice people in advertising.
And another senior team applies for a job at Subway.
Amazing how CB can show its bias. Since when have you ever bothered to clarify the facts or errors made re others? There have been some whoppers on the blog and the rest of the mere mortals round here have to suffer the crappy comments and consequences. So why does the cat get special treatment? Reminds me of another ECD who gets comments and stories removed after a quick bleat to CB. Posters on the Aussie Blog call it a mafia. Not surprised.
9:48… can you point to some examples.
Well Done Jesse and Matt.
Axis Adschool must be proud almost all of last years class with full time job.
Can someone clarify this? Who else is looking for work?
I think every one of them has a job now.
If all of last year’s Axis students have a full time job now, why is this the only team to get mentioned?
Slow news day?
CB. Examples are some highly memorable ‘vanishings’ of stories and comments. e.g. Volkswagen TVC from last year. Then entire sections of comments that went missing relating to a particular agency and its clients. Some people have more swing than others and should know better than to use their swing that way. Have seen some relatively harmless comments about industry people that have disappeared, while others who have had much worse and factually shit, left up there forever. It’s improved but the Cat story reminded me. Minor error in the story, minor comments compared to others I’ve seen round here, yet it gets sorted.
Have you seen the article on the NBR about the media hoo haa going on with Pizza Hut.

Almost all the class with jobs – bloody good effort. But is that jobs or placement? Either way it’s pretty good. I know with my class probably half dropped out and as far as I know the other half’s still in it – God help us.
Young?
2.21, Pizza Hut are bullies, those kids are about to learn a whole lot more about this business than they ever did at adschool.
Just give these guys some food and money!
Well done boys. Good on ya Cat.
1.31 – insert pizza to shut mouth.
I always see those guys at Urge bar on K rd. Lock your sons up…..
Eat your heart out cynics. These guys rock (incl. cat).
Guts, hard work, passion. Isn’t that where we all started.
More of that 8.06 and we’ll need a sick bag. “You rock cat…” Too much nob grease.
Ah, but did anyone tell youse jokers they were going to make you do rubbish like the Southern Cross B2B stuff in the NBR? No Campaign Brief press release for that little bill-paying piece o’ poo, was there? Mi-aow, etc.
Yep. The Southern Cross stuff was VERY ordinary.
