Wasn’t the last story about a show that celebrates the best work from the asia pacific region? And since the Andys are touting down here, won’t that show also celebrate the best work from the asia pacific region too? I say give the best work from the asia pacific region a wee rest from all the celebrating or it’ll be too tired when it’s time to celebrate the best work from the asia pacific region next.
That’s a good year I’d say. Some quality work and not to much for ‘fringe’ clients.
Or was there? Would love to see NZ back in the TV tables.
Suck on that DDB, Saatchi, Whybins
Despite the good work Saatchi and DDB have done over the last year (look at 2008 Bestads rankings), I heard last night that the AWARD judges had it in for them this year. They also snubbed DDB in Sydney.
If by ‘having it in for them’ you mean the judges decided that one-offs for
TV shows/movies done purely for awards shouldn’t be recognised then yeah, I guess we did.
Awards are a by-product, not an strategic objective.
And can we stop telling each other to suck on this or that. Why don’t we have a pleasant get together and suck on some beer and titties. If each agency trims a little entry budget it would add up to a nice free bar…
We’re all fighting the same war remember.
Interesting that the results were released yesterday. Must have made some of yesterday’s travel a little less exciting.
The biggest story for New Zealand is Brett winning the encouragement award. Forget the rest.
I didn’t know we were fighting a war. Who, exactly, is the enemy?
You’re right David. Pink Batts was a one off. Cock.
Funny how if you don’t win any awards it’s because ‘the judges had it in for you.’ Hear that sob story every year form the usual SOBs. This year no exception.
13 fewer than 2007, not less.
Was there a copy category?
We fight a war against the enemies or creativity and intelligent communication.
We battle to liberate our streets and screens from ideas that are fundamentally flawed.
The enemy is everywhere…
Pink Batts was a good ad. Speights was a great idea. You cock.
pp. David
Better a cock that a pin dick.
that’s some clever shit. are you guys in advertising?
Pink Batts was better when it was Asthma Man
I see the pond won an award for that writers block. still got it on my desk….. good work, well done. First thing sent to me that i have kept.
Speights is a amazing idea and the people behind that need a big pat on the back.
Bloody huge….
