VEET WINS NAB AD OF THE MONTH
Veet’s ‘Goodbye Bush’ is the NAB’s January Newspaper Ad of the Month winner, created by Euro RSCG in Sydney. The same ad is currently best of the Top 6 of the Week on www.bestadsontv.com.
“A funny and relevant newspaper ad that had everyone laughing,” agreed judges Bridget Taylor, CD of DDB,
Dave King, CD of AIM Proximity and Daniel Barnes, partner at Barnes, Catmur & Friends.
Agency: EURO RSCG Sydney
ECD: Rowan Dean
Art Director: Patrycja Lukjanow
Copywriter: John Gault
Runners up were two more great topical ads – Burger King created by Y&R and Guthrie Bowron
created by M&C Saatchi. There was no December winner.
The winning creative team will receive $250 cash. The ad will also appear in the “What’s New” section
of February AdMedia.
There are just four more opportunities to win Ad of the Month and gain automatic entry into the
Newspaper Ad of Year 08/09 and the chance to win its $10,000 cash prize.

Really? I didn’t realise it ran over here.
Which paper was this run in over here?
Can you win Ad of the month from australia???
It ran in the “Herald on Sunday”. 25th January.
This is bullshit. What is the point of this award if not to recognise local creativity? Or does NAB not care where the ads come from as long as they fill the space?
Yeah, no. Not ideal. The NZ newspaper ad of the month should probably be won by a NZ newspaper ad.
If you’re reading this, Lexie, it’s not too late for a magnanimous $250 each to M&C&Y&R.
the sad thing is that new zealand agencies could create a better ad in the whole month. It’s pretty average ad.
Thats the real joke here. I mean there are 2000 plus ads in the paper for the month and thats the best one.
Do we do any creative ads anymore.
Every second ad on tv is a re-run or a recut.
