Tango’s Think Brick Wizard gets Webby nod

DesigningForClimate_ScreenShot.jpgLeading Auckland Digital Agency Tango has been nominated for a Webby Award in the Associations category for its work on Designing for Climate for Think Brick Australia.

Tango’s work involved the creation of an online interactive wizard thathelps architects, designers, builders and homeowners to access and usedecades  of climactic data in the design and construction ofsustainable buildings.

The Climate Design Wizard was an instantsuccess.  It helped Think Brick Australia to reinforce an emergingapproach to design, by delivering scientific data in an easy tounderstand and interactive tool.

Think Brick Australia’s CEOLinda Ginger commented on the news of the nomination: “We’re thrilledthat we’ve been able to convert such complex data into a format that isaccessible and intuitive.  This wouldn’t have been possible without theleadership and strategic thinking Tango provided”.

Tango MD BoydWason said: “It’s brilliant to be nominated for such prestigious globalawards. The Webbys typically see 10,000 entries a year, and to be inthe final 5 feels great”.

The Webby awards are the leadinginternational awards for excellence on the Internet, covering four mainareas: Websites, interactive advertising, online film and video andmobile websites.

Tango’s work is also up for an award in thePeople’s Favourite category, where a winner is awarded based on votesfrom members of the public rather than a panel of judges. Voting isopen until April 30th, with members of the public able to have theirsay at http://pv.webbyawards.com

The Webby winners will be announced on May 5th, 2009.
