The 365: AIGA Annual Design Competition, which celebrates the best international design work of the previous twelve months, recognises exciting new work in communication design, including packaging, branding, advertising, corporate communication, typography and illustration and entertainment.

The competition is widely regarded as the most discerning statement on design excellence, extending a legacy that began more than 90 years ago.

This year, over 3,800 pieces of work from throughout the world were submitted into the awards, with just 182 pieces singled out as worthy examples of outstanding design.

Judged by a distinguished jury of professional designers, winning worksnot only feature in the AIGA’s Annual, but will also become part of theAIGA Design Archives and travelling exhibitions which debut at the AIGA National Design Center in New York.

AltGroup took home three of the four 365: AIGA Annual Design Competitionaccolades for the much lauded Hudson Gavin Martin project, for whichthey have already won a slew of international awards including acoveted Gold Cube at the ADC (Art Directors Club) Awards in New York, aCertificate of Typographic Excellence from the Type Directors Club (NewYork), and a Silver and Bronze Pencil at the One Show Design Awards, held earlier this month.

Bold, bright and atypical of whatyou’d expect for a law practice, the Hudson Gavin Martin project (whichwas based around the concept that all good things come in threes), sawAlt Group design and develop everything from the boutique intellectualproperty and technology law firms’ branding and collateral, rightthrough to a corporate artwork collection and unique promotionalgifts.

In addition to picking up three accolades for theHudson Gavin Martin project (identity campaign, ©h®is™as giveaway andcorporate art collection), Alt Group also won recognition for theirwork for iconic Kiwi furniture design company, Formway and their USlicence partner Kimball Office.
