Thieves nab Woodhead
Thick As Thieves Film has signed new director Leo Woodhead, who recently received international acclaim for his short film CARGO, a visceral and powerful film that portrays a young boy’s descent into the world of child trafficking.
CARGO was selected for Competition at the prestigious Venice Film Festival. Since then it has been selected for Tribeca, BFI London, and many of the world’s best film festivals.
Woodhead’s achievement is all the more remarkable as the film waspartially self-financed and shot in the Czech Republic in the Czechlanguage as part of an international film school exchange.
On theback of this success Woodhead (pictured left with actress Emily Barclay) was hand picked for a special 3 monthinternship at Killer Films in New York, one of the world’s leadingindependent film producers (Boys Don’t Cry, Happiness, I’m Not There)
