O’Sullivan added to Caxton speaker line-up

MIKE-OSULLIVAN-GOOD.jpgTheCaxton Committee has announced that Mike O’Sullivan, executive creativedirector of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand, has joined theprestigious line-up of speakers for the 2009 Caxton Awards and Seminar.

 

O’Sullivan has won more than his fair share of international accoladesincluding numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions at Cannes, and pencilsat D&AD, The One Show, Clio and AWARD. Over the last eight years hehas been one of the most awarded creative directors in Australasia -he’s currently ranked #1 in the region in the Campaign Brief CreativeRankings for the second year in a row – and was recently appointed tothe Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide Creative Board.

 

He led Saatchi & Saatchi to being the most awarded New Zealandagency since 2006 – Creatively the Agency has won AWARD agency of theYear, Campaign Brief Agency of the Year and The Work Agency of theYear. Saatchi & Saatchi also took out the titles of Agency of theYear for The National Business Review and B&T during this period.

  

Katrina Mercer.jpgFreelance art director Katrina Mercer is another speaker at the Caxtonsthis year. She has worked as a Graphic Designer for 5 years in Perthand London on leading magazines. From there she moved to Sydney to takepart in AWARD school, graduating with a job at M&C Saatchi; whereshe spent 5 years working as an Art Director. While at M&C Saatchishe won a worldwide young creative competition taking home a cheque forUS$10,000 and an all expenses trip to London for the award show.

 

Also on her list of achievements are acceptances into 3 film festivalsfor her short film entitled The Netball Diaries, which stars leadingcomedic actress Rebel Wilson. Katrina has spent the last three yearsworking in some of the top agencies in Sydney including Saatchi &Saatchi, Leo Burnett and DDB.
