Get caught dead in something from Superette

We’ve always worn clothes that in hindsight we wish we hadn’t. Thiscampaign for high fashion store Superette from DDB New Zealand makesthe point well that if you are actually going to be caught dead insomething, it would be infinitely better if it was something nice. Thecampaign runs on billboards, in newspapers and fashion magazines. Afittingly tasteless website and in-store display is planned too.

It really bothers me that a few years back I threw away some old (1997, ’98, or ’99) AWARD annual during a rather painful house-move, because I swear there’s the exact same print idea done for, I think, Ray Bans by either Omon or BAM.
I know it’s picky, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
Nice, but…. I saw a billboard of this while at the lights. All I could read was the Superette logo. Maybe fashionable chicks have better eyesight than me.
i think bobbie’s right
Bobby’s def right.
Well i can’t find them.
If anyone does actually find them, can you post a link.
It was back when that Kadu boardshorts ad set the world on fire.
Can I like something that has or hasn’t run before…’cause I like this.
‘Corpse as fashion model’ has been done pretty regularly, with the ‘creative bit’ being a variety of literal plays on clichés such as ‘to die for’, ‘go out in style’ or ‘don’t be seen dead in anything else’.
Here’s a couple I can actually remember the brands for. There are others.
Jimmy Choo – shoes to die for
Kate Spade – shoes to die for
Is this what you mean…

Same? Different?
So no one has actually done ‘be caught dead in it’.
Sweet, that’s good, thanks for verifying that.
