DDB scoops up ANZ account

CB hears the prized ANZ account in New Zealand, previously with M&C Saatchi, has been awarded to DDB, as some in the industry expected. The win adds to the sizeable ANZ business already held by DDB Melbourne, which looks after ANZ’s Consumer Finance business, and no doubt adds to DDB’s chances of snaring the entire trans Tasman business down the track.

All of you lame and sour creatives are making a big mistake by posting your crap here. For people with your lack of skill bank accounts are the only way to survive in this industry, so I’d just be quiet and apply for a job at DDB before they’re all gone.

I work there and I like it. So do a lot of other people as far as I know. None of us ‘take it up the arse’. Sure, it isn’t perfect. Which agency is? But, believe me, there are plenty worse places to work. Look at the work we do too. It’s really good. That’s why I’m there. That and the fact that I have a job too. DDB is the only secure agency in town. And that right now, is worth a lot.
Secure? They made 4 people redundant a couple of months ago and managed to keep that strangely quiet

I used to work at DDB a few years ago, I really liked it. They were a pretty good bunch, we did good work and had great parties. The arse raping was no different to anywhere else really, the young uns having a go in previous posts should have though a bit better before throwing out such a lame insult.
Why is anyone giving DDB a hard time? Look at the mind-numbing shite that ANZ have been running for the last 8 years (client and agency equal blame, or maybe 70/30). New client line up, new agency, good times ahead.
You probably worked there in better times.
These days, they have locks on the beer fridges and you just need ration tickets to get some. (Although it’s free-flow for the same old same olds.)
Biscuits are for Execs only too. Or you can buy them at $1.00 each. ($2 if it’s chocolate coated.) Must make a profit on everything over here.
