Best Job and Pure Waters clean up at AWARD – Gold to AIM Proximity/Colenso BBDO for Yellow Treehouse – BBDO named Nework of the Year

Tourism Queensland ‘The Best Job In The World’ via SapientNitro, Brisbane and Boags Draught ‘Pure Waters’ viaPublicis Mojo, Sydney were the big winners of this year’s AWARD Awards,held last night at the striking Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney.
Six Gold Pencils were awarded on the night, one going to AIM Proximity and Colenso BBDO, Auckland for Yellow Treehouse in the Direct Marketing – Integrated Solutions category.
AWARD Network of the Year went to BBDO, AWARD Agency of the Year wentto Publicis Mojo, Sydney and Lion Nathan was proclaimed AWARD Client ofthe Year.
The winner of the Encouragement Award,recognising those who have demonstrated an outstanding ability toanswer briefs with a freshness of thought and creativity, went toMatthew Knapp and John Downing of DDB Sydney.
Hosted by Paul McDermott, the night was themed on the “PromoteYourself” concept developed by DDB Sydney for the 2009 AWARD Call ForEntries.
A total of six gold winners were awarded, with theoverall number of winners tallying 176, 30 less than 2008. Winnernumbers went up by four for Australia (2009: 108 winners, 2008: 104winners), New Zealand received 16 less than last year (2009: 29winners, 2008: 45 winners) and Asia went down by 18 (2009: 39 winners,2008: 57 winners).
Guests partied away at Restaurants of The Rocks, followed by an after party at SoHo Bar.
