Congrats to Colenso. But hate to say it, no one else bothered to enter from NZ so bit of a hollow victory when you look at it that way. B&T is a bit of a joke what with all that jumped up nonsense of flying over to Sydney to be interviewed by an ‘industry panel’. Our agency had better things to do than spend $10k flying all our senior management over. Like making ads and running a business.
Yeap, no point entering if you haven’t got a chance of winning.
If you thought you might have had a chance your agency would have probably entered.
Yeah but Colenso and especially Aim are award whores. You name it they’ll enter it. Which explains why they get so many. Throw enough shit some of it is bound to stick.
Colin, you are a cock. And you spelt your name wrong. It’s got an ‘o’, not an ‘i’.
Colon. Is that the best you got up there on College Hill? He’s right. Everyone knows it. You enter so many shows – many of which none of us have ever heard of. Plus you spend WAY too much energy chasing awards on some very borderline clients indeed. Book Council. Alzeimers. And that one for tattoo removal on bestads today is an all time low. Stop bringing student books to life. You’re better than that.
Yellow, eh? Well done. Pity the client went somewhere else mid campaign.
Tim is right, the Book Council – jeez, a real client would have seen the two pages repeated. But then again, every agency needs a client that produces two minute ‘films’. Don’t they?
Well put 11:19. I’d rather have $ in the bank than have an outside chance of winning some award.
Thing is Colenso/Aim do have money in the bank. And heaps of awards. And big clients. They got it all. Perfect Storm.
If they’ve got money in the bank how come they’ve made so many people redundant?
11:19; 11:39, it is not an outside chance of winning ‘some award’ when you’ve a done a campaign like the treehouse that attracts more metal than Tiger Wood does mistresses. If you’d done it you would have entered it. But clearly you haven’t done anything that comes close. A kiwi gig winning ad/digital campaign of the year at one of the major aussie shows is a pretty fricken good achievement. Just a shame whining jerk-offs like you can’t admit it.
Hey guys. I run the biggest tattoo removal corporation in Asia Pacific. My board of directors and I saw your ads for that little competitor of ours and were blown away. We were hoping you would take us on as a client and together we can take over the world. Tons of revenue and awards will naturally start to flow like milk and honey. What do you say?
4.10…euk, I’ve just had a mouth-sick.
