Pacific Blue’s ‘Happy Flying’ spot wins Best TV Commercial at international aviation conference
Pacific Blue’s ‘Happy Flying’ campaign via DraftFCB has been given the thumbs up at an international airline conference. Pacific Blue crew are very passionate about theairline they work for and they pride themselves on no two flights beingthe same. We wanted to be able to capture that spontaneity as well aschange the way people perceive flying by opening the door for a moreenjoyable experience.”
The TV ad has also found favour with the New Zealand public. In theNovember 2009 issue of AdMedia, the Happy Flying TV commercial wasvoted second most popular in a monthly survey.

Rude ad aside, imagine how bad the catering is at the Low Cost Airlines World Asia Pacific 2010 conference.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clearly the most annoying ad of all time.
Funniest thing i’ve heard all week. Thanks for brightening up my day.
How about Macarena and cheese?
“It had to be eye-catching and with a memorable jingle”
James Mok, says real cabin crew and pilots were used in the TVC.. errrr except for actors Jeremy Randerson (cabin crew), Simon Prast (pilot) and lead trolly dolly Melanie what’s her name who used to present the news. Come again?
Thats not Simon Prast is it????????
Strategy: What AirNZ did but different please. Brilliant. Looks like it did the trick though. Sometimes being too proud is a creative hindrance.
4.32 Clearly that’s Patrick Mcateer ex oktobor in the pilots seat..
Nice work..better than Jetstar. That Hughesy thing was rubbish. Most of NZ doesn’t even know who is is.
Come on… voted at the International Aviation conference… what an achievement! Who goes to that? A bunch of high paid execs have little grasp on creativity?
I feel guilty every time I masturbate to this ad.
love this ad !!!
