D&AD judging thrown into chaos by Iceland volcano: Prince only Kiwi to make it to London
Becauseof the Iceland volcano that as shut down airports throughout Europe,PaulPrince (above), the New Zealand based CEO/managing partner of The Sweet Shopappears to be the only Australasian to have made it to London toparticipate in the D&AD Awards judging, which starts today. Prince,who is on the TV & CinemaCrafts jury – arrived in London last week, just prior to the eruption.
Other Australasians on the D&AD 2010 jury who now can’t make it:Craig Davis, CCO of Publicis MojoAustralia/NZ, who is on the Integrated jury; Simon Langley, creativedirector of 303 Sydney, who is on the Outdoor jury; Steve Back, ECD ofSaatchi & Saatchi, Sydney, who is on the TV & Cinema Craftsjury and Philip ‘Duster’ Andrew (left), CEO and ECD of Clemenger BBDO,Welllington, who ison the Integrated jury.

Would have been awesome if the saatchis mintshot volcano was entered into this.
Looks like they’ll all have to stay at work and actually do something.
At least nobody else needs to be made redundant to pay for the trips.
D&AD has informed us that Angus Wardlaw, the senior CHI, London creative who has just been appointed CD of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand – the news was a CB NZ exclusive today – is also now on one of the D&AD juries, representing New Zealand in place of Duster, ECD of Clemenger Wellington, who was supposed to be on the Integrated jury.
