This recent print campaign for Prime TV via DraftFCB, Auckland was one of this week’s Bestads Top 6.
Man Vs Wild is a popular TV show where adventurer and ex S.A.S.soldier Bear Grylls is dropped into an extreme environment with littlemore than the clothes on his back. His mission is to survive. A largepart of survival is finding food and water and Bear goes to greatlengths to find sustenance from highly unlikely and often disgustingfood sources. These ads are a tribute to Bear Gryll’s adventurouspalette.

Isn’t Man Vs Wild about survival? Sure eating odd things to survive is a small part of it, but the bulk of the show isn’t him walking around eating bugs and wild life, is it? I mean if I didn’t know what the show was about I’d be thinking it’s some kind of weird cooking.

yeah um, DDB did very similar for maccas a while back. Something about ‘now
serving salads’ and a shot a of fries made from corn sticks etc etc.
was pretty average even back then.
