DDB NZ appoints another senior director
DDB New Zealand has made a third senior appointment in as many weeks with the announcement today that Aimee McCammon, a former GM of Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post-production business, is to join as Group Business Director (GBD).
McCammon, who has been contracting at DDB for the past three months, has 10 years advertising experience, including five at Saatchi’s in New Zealand and New York. In her GBD role McCammon will oversee NZ Lotteries and Wattie’s .
DDB Group NZ CEO Sandy Moore says expansion at the agency prompted further strengthening of its management team. “Our recent growth spurt is behind the new appointments. We are thrilled to have someone of Aimee’s calibre and pedigree on the team.”

Expansion? What expansion? It’s a fucking replacement with a new title.
Senior people have left that place in droves including this role. That’s the real story.
Try telling it straight DDB. The only expansion we can see is expansion of someone’s head.
Ouch 2:43, that’s some sour grapes you got there.
Funny. We thought the bad vibe and string of departures at that place was behind this appointment.
Silly us.
Nice one Aimee, love your work.
Awesome Amy! Good to have you back in town!
2.43’s got a point. Why spin it if it’s just a replacement?
Enough with this petty nonsense. Has Droga 5 foot 5 got any clients yet?
Did she work at Draft?
I know of one CEO around town who has a folder set aside purely for all the DDB resumes that flood in every week. By all accounts, it seems like a bit of a lolly scramble.
Spinning to put some static over goings. Apparently there’s a couple of CDs leaving the building pretty soon.
Hubba hubba hubba!
“In her GBD role McCammon will oversee NZ Lotteries and Wattie’s .”
That role was recently vacated. Funny that the CEO calls its replacement ‘expansion’.
Go Aimee. One of the best suits I’ve worked with.
Nice one Aimee. Good to see you doing well, you deserve it.
They come, they stay. They go. Usually fleeing.
But as DDB knows…
…there’s another one born every day.
No need to change their little fiefdom.
Nice one Aimee!
Well done Aims, ignore the sour grapes, great ot have you here.
Go Aimee – one of the most inspiring, creative suits in th b usiness !!
