Don’t miss the next Film Construction jam night – set for Wednesday 21 July

P1020529.jpgFilm Construction held the first in a series of winter jam nights last month, in the production company’s recently refurbished Auckland studio. The inaugural FC Jam featured a line up of great local talent including OMD band The Chased, who delivered their set with a titanic swirl of guitar, and The Hathaways, fronted by Ogilvy CD, Damon O’Leary, who unleashed his ‘godfather of punk’ angst on an enthusiastic crowd.

Also performing were a range of acts sporting industry members, such as Sound Bites featuring local blues hero Midge Marsden, King Skinny, DJ Johnny Elbow, and Perry Bradley’s own outfit, Selon Recliner.

P1020512.jpgFC-Jam-Poster.jpgThe night evolved into a ‘Later with Jools’ style event, with aneclectic mix of acts that included Nude on the Moon who delivered animpressive VJ set, and breakthrough Universal recording artist andrecent winner of the MTV 42Unheard competition, Ruby Frost.

 

“We had a great night,” says Film Construction EP, Ron Redel. “It is agreat venue for our friends and industry people to get together for abit of a bash. Thanks to all who came along.”
