James Tucker and Simon Vicars of DDB NZ (pictured) have taken out the May ORCA award. Their Arts Channel campaign for SKY TV, which recently picked up a coveted Gold Lion and two Silver Lions, was a ‘clear winner’ according to judges. Their radio campaign will now be in the running for the Grande ORCA, judged early next year.

Bravo!
I thought it was a better press idea personally.
this confuses me. When exactly did it run? Because wasn’t Cannes cut off in March? Or April? And it wins May ORCAs? And don’t you have to enter ORCAs based on the month they break?
Hmmmmm… did someone tell some porkies on their ORCA entry last month?
It’s not the first time a DDB radio ad has got through several months after it first ran.
Nice one lads. Some really great writing.
That guy’s voice is insane! Who cares when they ran, it took me on a journey man! Love ’em
Good to hear a radio spot that isn’t just 28seconds of dribble rounded off by a tenuous product link. Deserves all the metal it’s got, I reckon.
If it hasn’t been entered in Orca before all good.
and if it ran in the month that’s fine too.
Wow, those were boring. Much better as press. I would rather read the ads, which had nice art direction than lose 30 secs of my life listening to that monotone voice.
