Round two of Yahoo! Digital Strategy Awards now open – close Friday 13 August

Screen shot 2010-07-20 at 8.04.19 AM.pngYahoo!Xtra has kicked off round two of its digital strategy awards following a successful launch of the awards in April. MEC won the inaugural awards with its Caltex with Techron campaign.

The award recipient will be selected for their smart thinking indeveloping digital strategy that delivers outstanding campaigns andbusiness objectives for advertisers.

 

The awards are judgedquarterly. Entries for quarter two close Friday August 13 and will beassessed by a panel of three, including regular judges Maxwell-Hansenand Helen Baxter from Mohawk Media with a guest judge to be confirmed.

 

Thefour quarterly winners will be eligible for the overall Y!X DSA Annualprize of $10,000 of media on Y!X plus free entry into the CAANZ MediaAwards Best Use of Digital category. The first annual winner will beannounced in February 2011.

“Digital media has grown over other media categories and comprised 11%advertising spend in 2009,” says Laura Maxwell-Hansen, Yahoo! Xtra’sgeneral manager. 

 

“The awards reflect the growing relevance of digital media and recognise the key role it plays in the success of campaigns.”

 

Yahoo!Xtra has been the #1 homepage for New Zealanders for four months running, with 3.9 million unique browsers in June.
