Ex M&C Saatchi London creative Dave Nash joins Ogilvy as co-CD of digital with Greg Whitham
Expat NewZealander, Dave Nash (pictured on left) has been recruited from London as co-CD of Ogilvy’sDigital Department. After stints at M&C London, creative digital start-upLeftfield Digital and digital hot shop Truly London Advertising, Nash isexcited about returning to Auckland where his role will be to partner GregWhitham as Co-CD of Digital (pictured on right). “Ogilvy has transformeditself from a traditional ad agency to an integrated thinking, ideas factory,”says Nash – “And I’m excited to be part of that.” Nash is one of a number ofsenior creative appointments made by Ogilvy this year including Richard Loseby,Martin Hermans and Darran Wong-Kam (all ex DDB) and in their Wellington office- Nigel Richardson and Steve Cooper (ex Saatchi Wgtn).
These appointments along with the addition of Rupert Price the new headof Planning (ex HOP at Ogilvy London) mean Ogilvy have the thinking firepowerNash believes will take the agency forward.
Says Nash: “Coming home to Ogilvywas a no-brainer, I have great respect for Damon (Ogilvy ECD) and the work hehas done over the years – from his days at Saatchi and now here. In thelast year he and Basil have developed a senior creative department with some ofthe finest minds in the industry. Plus they’ve hired some exciting new talent straight out of the adschools. Partnering that with Rupert Price heading up the planning department,I believe we are set for a big end to 2010 and even bigger 2011.”

wham, bam – I am, a man. job or no job you can’t tell me that I’m not….
who and who the f#ch…two digital CD’s and not an award between them
Stick that in the next pitch document… you won’t lose.
I’d use that picture for their leaving cards in 6 months time when they’re both kicked out of our building
Beyond embarrassing.
I can’t even read the article because that photo is so transfixing.
Why are they squatting? Is the photographer a dwarf? Are they trying to visually show that they operate ‘below the line’?
What are they doing with their hands? Is that some kind of gang message? Is Pardo hoping that by employing gang members he’ll freak the other agencies out? Gang warfare at award ceremonies would be totally awesome.
Damn .. some really creative people waded in on this one
Vic Reeves eat your heart out…
We also do children’s parties and bar mitzvahs
Looks like these guys are about to shit themselves.
Ogilvy? HA! The big red shed will eat them alive in a month

One last comment: Rabo Bank gone, Sanitarium gone, Placemakers gone, and Holden about to go. Is this what you call setting your selves up “for a big end to 2010”, I can’t wait to see what 2011 is going to bring!
