How good are the ads for Anchor milk?
Anchor wanted to share with New Zealand the lengths they go to, to get fresh milk from the farm to your fridge. So Colenso BBDO, Auckland came up with the idea of recreating their daily ‘Great Milk Run’ and celebrating the ways in which they train and practice to be faster at everything they do, in order to get their milk to you in the best possible condition – fresh and delicious.

This from the Anchor website:We got some of their staff involved in the ad campaign so you’ll seethe real pride, passion and care for Anchor Milk. Each one of our staffin the campaign shared the part they play in helping to get Anchor milkfrom farm to fridge in the tasks they perform in their role – as afarmer, tanker driver, factory worker, merchandiser or owner operator.
The campaign includes TV, print, outdoor and online.

“How good are the …” – Bias much?
I’m just envious.
I like this. Saw it first on TV and smiled. Nice try at building a brand from what is frankly a commodity.
Actually, for an industrial product that’s almost impossible to differentiate from the other’s guy’s product I’d say these are pretty bloody good. Well done.
I think they are great. The people at Dairy NZ should have done this rather than the very ordinary junket they filmed….
The only problem with this differentiation is that it’s saying the same thing as Meadow Fresh. That is, fresh. I’d hope my milk is fresh. Never crossed my mind it wouldn’t be. Nice bit of film though.
It’s not saying ‘fresh’… it’s saying ‘freshest’.
Knowing that it all tastes the same, that’s pretty much what would sway me if I wasn’t such a lactose-intolerant soy-sucking hipster crybaby.
‘The who farted’ print. Hahee awesome
I actually really like these ads. And the other day when I was looking in the milk aisle, I remembered how it all got there. ‘Course I was going to buy Anchor.
Pams just milks cats doesn’t it?
When I first saw this campaign (which was press), I had my doubts. Would I trust some of these dudes touching my milk? Not so much. But I have to admit, it’s growing on me. A bit of a makey-uppy proposition, but hey, what else are you gonna say about, milk, baked beans, etc. I can see where the creatives wanted to go, but couldn’t quite. You can’t overly trivialise the jobs of real people, especially minimum-paid Kiwis. So, well done in a difficult situation. And a good result considering the talent were real staff. This is creativity overcoming challenges at multiple levels. Hope it works well.
