YoungGuns reveals Colenso BBDO, Auckland heads Top 10 Agencies of the Decade chart
ColensoBBDO New Zealand has been named the number one agency in the world foremerging and young creatives, topping the YoungGuns Top 10 rankings ofthe most Awarded Agencies of the past decade.
The Top 10Agencies ranking identifies the individual agencies that have producedthe most awarded creative talent in the 10 years since the YoungGunswere founded. Work from these agencies can be found at http://www.ygaward.com/10years.
Of the YoungGuns 10th Birthday rankings only two remain before 2010Entry deadline (October 15) which are the Top 10 Innovative Ideas andthe Top 10 Young Creatives of the Decade.
The Top 10 list features agencies from the USA, UK, Argentina, Indiaand Australia. ColensoBBDO is the only New Zealand agency in the top10.
TBWA\Chiat\Day New York features second, followed by Crispin Porter +Bogusky. Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Argentina took 4thposition.
Three UK agencies made the list – Mother London in 5th, DDB London in8th and Saatchi & Saatchi London in 9th. Ogilvy & Mather Mumbaimade 7th and Saatchi & Saatchi Australia rounded out the list in10th spot.

Colenso BBDO has been the only advertising agency to win YoungGuns Agency of the Year twice in both 2001 and 2008. Some of the campaigns that picked up Gold Bullets by Colenso BBDO include the exploding billboard on Nelson Street to promote Deadline Couriers and Yellow Treehouse – where an everyday Kiwi was challenged to build a restaurant up a tree using only businesses found in the Yellow Pages directory to get the job done.
The agency has further cause to celebrate its success as this award follows the recent crowning of BBDO as Network of the Decade by YoungGuns, having also won Network of the Year in 2001, 2004 and 2008.

Top agency and a school in the top 5 – not bad NZ
When I grew up we had to play with the grown-up awards. Yoofism seems to have resulted in reduced prices for creatives. Recent eg. Snr Writer AKL $90k.
