McCann Worldgroup (NZ) has employed Charles Twaddle and Edward Knowles after being impressed by them at last week’s Adschool end of year show.
“They created quite a stir at the show. Ollie (Maisey, CD) liked their book. Then we found out one of them was a model and the other’s the lead singer of The Checks, so we knew they’d be a perfect addition to the agency,” says Sue-Ellen Craig, McCann GM.

By employed do they mean ‘paying the minimum wage’ or $2 a week with no certain future. The first would be novel. The second normal.
go boys go!
Skux
Employed on a salary and not the minimum wage.
1:37 By employed I mean a salaried position paying above minimum wages. There is no necessity to run a sweat shop, so I never will.
Sent from my iphone, while sitting in the sun at a bar.
At least we’ll see The Checks at BOTAB
These guys walked in front of my car at the bottom of College Hill this afternoon. They had the meandering, unfocused walk of your typical creative director. No where to go and no hurry to get there. Also wearing the same clothes as in the shot above. I think they’ll go far.
I wonder what Greer is up to?
Well Done Lads, viewed your Book at the End of Year show and was impressed, not only by the work, but your enthusiasm when you presented! Don’t let negativity about wages bother you. This is an great career choice!

I know! Lets hire these guys based on looks and vocal talent……hmmm
KAKAROTS!!
8:05 – “A great career choice.” Not sure about that one. A great career choice should be based on amongst others a growing industry and demand for creative skills. It should also be based on the way people are treated. Advertising fails on both these points.
