Auckland-based agency BallantyneTaylor has picked up the Pasture Renewal Charitable Trust account in a creative pitch. Managing Director of BallantyneTaylor, Steve Ballantyne, said the objective of the trust is to kick-start farmers into getting more from their land. “And pasture renewal not only has positive ramifications for them, but for the whole country.”

Pasture is worth an estimated $20.5 billion to New Zealand’s GDP each year. Increased pasture renewal can be immensely lucrative for farmers, and generate an additional $1.6 billion for the national economy each year. However, many farmers don’t realise the potential of pasture renewal, and rates remain low.

Pasture Renewal Charitable Trust board member, Nicola Holmes, says the decision to work with BallantyneTaylor wasn’t a difficult one. “We’ve been talking to farmers about pasture renewal for a number of years, and BallantyneTaylor caught our attention immediately with a very fresh, outside the box creative approach.”

The campaign launches in the new year, with a strong presence in agricultural publications and online.

The agency also recently picked up the Canon Australia business account.
