While search continues Saatchi & Saatchi brings in String Theory’s Jeremy Taine as Interim ECD
Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has engaged the services of String Theory’s Jeremy Taine to provide ECD support in the first quarter of 2011, while it continues its search for a permanent creative leadership solution following the departure of Dylan Harrison late last year to DDB Australia.
Creative veteran Taine will oversee Saatchi teams working on some major new projects for several of its clients.
String Theory provides ‘plug in’ services and works on collaborative projects with agencies and brands.
“String Theory offers a good solution for us right now,” says Nicky Bell. “Having access to Jeremy’s ideas and oversight on these projects will help us create great work for clients in early 2011, while giving us a little extra breathing space to finalise our longer term plans.”

Translation: “Jesus Christ, we still haven’t found anyone.”
Hat’s off Jeremy.
A great guy that will make a real impression on the department.
Smartest move Saatchis have made in years.
Jeremy is a great guy who I am sure will do a damned good job.
But I do have to smile that the great ‘take Saatchis into the future thing’ has just returned them to the late 80s.
I think Jeremy will do wonders for the beleaguered and rudderless creative department at Saatchi.
Jeremy is just what Saatchi need: Someone who isn’t weird, arrogant, aloof, English, insular, or wanting to make their agency like their previous.
Jeremy is awesome
Not sure Saatchi’s have ever had an English ECD, Certainly not in recent years, but do correct me if I’m wrong. Dylan being Aussie and Mike O being Irish.
Jeremy was going to Barrier before it became the new Waiheke.
I can’t help it.
