Donald Gunn to Moderate NYF’s Executive Jury for 2011 International Advertising Awards

new-york-festivals.jpgNewYork Festivals® International Advertising Awards announced today thatDonald Gunn, Founder of the renowned Gunn Report, has agreed to be theModerator of the 2011 New York Festivals International AdvertisingAwards Executive Jury. The Executive Jury judging sessions will takeplace in New York the first week in May.

The NYF ExecutiveJury is an exclusive group comprised of 36 international advertisingagency Chief Creative Officers. However, unlike other advertisingcompetition juries, the NYF Executive Jury will not have a Chairman orPresident presiding, thereby allowing all members of the jury to be ofequal status. Mr. Gunn’s role as Moderator will be to guide the jury onits path to select some of the World’s Best Advertising™.

“Donald is the perfect choice to moderate the jury as he is aprincipled man of high integrity and will project fairness throughoutthe judging process. We are honored to have him moderate the juryproceedings. His attendance will ensure jurisprudence,” said Jim Smyth,CEO, New York Festivals.

The Executive Jury sessions launch a four-day series of events,including seminars and exhibits, and culminate with the annualInternational Advertising Award presentations taking place Wednesday,May 4th, and Thursday, May 5th, 2011.

The Final Entry Deadline for the 2011 International Advertising Awardscompetition has been extended until February 7, 2011, entries receivedafter that date are subject to a 15% late fee.  All award-winningentries of the 2011 International Advertising Awards will be showcasedat www.newyorkfestivals.com, and promoted by our network ofrepresentatives in 75 countries.
