Ten graduates selected for inaugural Clemenger Group Graduate Programme 2011 announced
Ten graduates from universities around New Zealand have been chosen from hundreds of applicants to join the inaugural intake of the Clemenger Group Graduate Programme. This programme will see each graduate rotate through the majority of Clemenger companies in Auckland and Wellington in the advertising, direct, digital and public relations fields.
Jim Moser, CEO of Clemenger Group, says the programme is unique as it exposes young talent to the unrivalled scale and scope of individual companies and communications expertise within the Group. “We want to grow future leaders who have a fundamental understanding ofa cross section of marketing communications disciplines. These are thefolk who will succeed in a future where lines between historiccommunications disciplines are blurred or nonexistent.”
The successful applicants will rotate through Colenso BBDO, ClemengerBBDO, .99, Aim Proximity, Porter Novelli and Raydar over a period ofthree-months to get a taste of what each agency offers. Candidates willthen be offered a six-month placement in their chosen agency, and paidan entry-level salary for this period. At the end of the six-monthplacement hopefully all of these graduates will be offered full-timepositions within the Clemenger Group.
The Clemenger Group is New Zealand’s largest and most successful groupof communications companies, with a total of 12 businesses in the grouprepresenting over 40 percent of the entire media market.

Great opportunity for grads to get some valuble experience – good on the Clemenger Group for doing this.
It would be great for the industry and NZ as a whole if more companies gave grads to opportunity to get good experience.
