The day after the first snow in Auckland for 72 years, Subaru ran this national newspaper ad to reassure Aucklanders that the streets were still passable.

It’s funny and clever, but I’m not sure why it’s from Subaru?
Funny. A well-taken opportunity.
And I know why it’s from Subaru.
I hadn’t seen a good topical ad in ages. Nice one.
NICE!
Yeah, but shouldn’t it have been for roads that were actually shut?
That would have been funnier, surely.
I love the thinking. But is it too subtle for all to get?
1.22 subtle is good. Like this ad. You don’t see them with ambiguous layers too often.

Seems you missed their Osama ad for Hell.
Client. Opportunity. Taken.
Well done BCF
Very funny.
Very Catfur.
Good ad.
Love it.
(And why pay a compliment anonymously?)
actually a good ad in the paper, amazoing
I am not sure about this ad. I see what they trying to do, but it’s a little weak.
Messages are mixed.
12:27 is right Catmur, the ad should have read “closed”. Funner and makes more of the light hearted situation of snow in auckland.
Over thought it
Yeah I agree,
make the roads ‘shut’ is heaps better.
no car benefit anymore, but heaps funnier ay bro
love it!!! niiiiicee
On the internet, everyone is an expert.
