Barnes, Catmur & Friends has appointed two new interns, Jordan Arts and Sam McCarthy, effective immediately.
The pair are better known as Kids of ’88, the duo behind the number one single “My House” and the hit album “Sugarpills.”
Managing partners Daniel Barnes and Paul Catmur claim that Arts and McCarthy will have “diverse roles” in the agency, but would not be drawn on details: “Being not just one, but two of New Zealand’s most successful musicians, we look forward to them giving BC&F the competitive advantage we’re looking for.”

The NZ music scene is shit at the moment, an intern wage probably looks good. At least they look like creatives.

It amazes me that agencies like BCF, WHYBINS and FCB have so little faith in their staff they have to hire professional musicians for the BOTAB. Even if they win, the credit will never be attributed to the agency, or their staff. There is no glory in it. It is, in fact, shameful. If I was on the organisation committee I would instantly disqualify all three agencies.
Stop taking things so fucking seriously
