This new Adidas spot, directed by Film Construction’s Andy Morton, distills the action and emotion of an All Blacks test into 60 seconds.
The spot, via Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Auckland, explores the interplay between the personal experiences of the players, the speed and intensity of the game and the passion and support of New Zealand fans for their national team.

nice to see the Westpac sign back in lights
I like it. Well done Andy.
Nicely shot. Love it ending on Richie, he’s the face of the nation right now. Would have been totally kick arse if you had a strong music track.
This is pedestrian trash. Shame on the creatives for even putting their name to an idealess piece of superb editing. A truly vacuous and well deserved ending to the Adidas brand in NZ. Hey guys, this is what a real idea look like in case you’ve forgotten :

Nice job Andy, very nice
Shame, Stand in black used to be a good idea, now its a mood reel
Maybe we should put a few links to a decent bank campaign up for you…
I wish he had put as much thought into this has he has into his profile pic!
Mr Clever clever Try Again – it’s sport not art.
Looks like a sky sport montage without the Scribe track.
I’m picking they had a nice shiny new ad made about the new jersey, which they pulled when the pricing issue hit the news. So they’ve thrown this together instead.
well i love it. the idea is that we love the all blacks and the world cup. it doesn’t need a stupid bloody skit or some far fetched bloody story or some crap poem or adidas wanking on about some new thread. it’s just about connection with the all blacks and loving the footy. jesus.
Paul your totally out of your element – I can’t possibly see how you think this is a good idea – shit editing – very shit sound design – and very shit comments – Adidas can’t do a spot about “connection” when they have probed the general public up the behind.
you’re all taking yourselves too seriously again – i didn’t say it was a good idea. i said i like it.
It’s not rocket science, it’s an ad about a rugby game. A bloody well executed one.
And considering the rest of the field out there, it’s the best one. I love it, top job Andy.
