M&C Saatchi creates Rugby dictionary
Rugby-related words and phrases are coined by fans all the time. Now, thanks to nzherald.co.nz, they have a place to share them in the Rugby Dictionary. Fans can upload words, vote for their favourite and comment on the posts of others. All the while they are being enticed with the latest RWC 2011 stories featuring on nzherald.co.nz. Every post, vote and comment gives the person interacting another chance to win tickets to the final as well as other prizes.
Says James Johnston, M&C Saatchi client services director: “Most rugby fans have a bit of Mex in them and love coming up with rugbyisms. Rugby Dictionary gives them a place to share their creations and be in to win tickets to the final, all the while being served up the great rugby content on nzherald.co.nz. It seems to have gone down really well too. We’re only at the half way point of the campaign and already we’ve pretty much hit our targets.”
