bcg2’s Chris Long and freelancer Martin Brown take out February ORCA for Jesters Pies
“The ORCA year couldn’t have ended with two more dissimilar winning ads if we’d tried,” said Fleur Herscott, communications manager at TRB, announcing that bcg2’s Chris Long and freelancer Martin Brown took the February ORCA with their cheeky Ridiculously Refined ad for Jesters Pies (which makes a virtue out of four-letter words).
At the other end of the spectrum, Sarah Litwin-Schmid and Emily Drake from Saatchi &Saatchi took the Merit for their powerful and emotive Jane ad for Women’s Refuge.

The February judges were Karl Fleet (Associate CD at The Campaign Palace, Australia), Harriet Crampton (creative services general manager at The Radio Network) and Brigid Alkema (CD at Clemenger BBDO Wellington) who were unanimous in voting these two the cream of the ORCA crop.
Both creative duos will now go through to the Grande ORCAS at the end of the month, where they’ll be vying with all the other ORCA and Merit winners for the Cannes Lions 2012 trip for two.
