The Sweet Shop director Melanie Bridge creates a colourful spectrum of fantasy in latest spot for Dulux ‘Weather’ via Clemenger BBDO Wellington

sweet2.jpgWhat if paint samples gave you a peek into the future? Just a quick little journey where you could see how your house looks in any weather, in any color and in any storm?

In this spot for Dulux paint, director Melanie Bridge takes her signature style in a new direction by blending the fantastic with the real. Embarking on what seems like a stop motion house painting adventure, Bridge creates a fun spot that blurs the lines between handcrafted animation and quirky computer animation.

Says Bridge: “The key thing that we always had to ask ourselves was whether it was believable that it had been created for real. We wanted it to look like the couple had actually painted and stop-framed the animation on their house themselves.”
