Plankton swim with big fish at Saatchi Sydney
CB Exclusive – Top Kiwi creative duo Plankton (Tara McKenty and Iain Nealie) formerly with Whybin\TBWA in Auckland have swum the ditch to become the latest in a series of new creatives to join Damon Stapleton and Michael Rebelo’s expanding Sydney team.
Plankton (“we’re tiny, but our ambitions are huge”) established an international following in
2010 after they issued an IPO (‘Initial Plankton Offer’), floating shares in their future to fund a
trip to Cannes.
At Whybin\TBWA they worked on campaigns for Adidas, Absolut, Nissan, Serrato, Playstation
and Visa, and travelled around the network contributing to several major global pitches.
They were recently named in Campaign’s Top 50 emerging talent portfolio.
Plankton joined the Saatchi Sydney team in late March, and according to ECD DamonStapleton, they’re already making their mark.
Says Stapleton: “They have a complete disregard for discipline and convention. Their imagination is huge – nothing is impossible – and they have the courage and chutzpah to pull things off with clients who want to do things differently. They’re the perfect fit for our new team.”

Great team, great hire!
This ‘Top Kiwi creative duo’ don’t seem to have done anything.
Except give themselves an adorable name, of course.
We miss them , but love the legacy they left .
And guess what, they are on a promise to return to Andy and me .
Good luck guys .
Devo !
Salute!
The power of branding…
Who are these ‘top creatives’ and what have they done??
These guys must write their own presse releases. As far as I know, they’ve been behind a confusing Kate Sheppard billboard and an awful doggy tail windscreen wiper ad. Cutting edge top Kiwi team… Any evidence otherwise, please do tell.
Will we all get write ups on the blog if we name ourselves ?

Well done to the both of you! Getting a great job like that in Sydney is hard enough for a local let alone for a Kiwi.
Congratulations, some people may think that sleeping their way to the top is the way to get places in an ad agency (not that I know), but you two have done it the hard way.
@calm down
I thought the hard way to get to the top was by doing good ads.
