May ORCA winners.jpgThis month’s ORCAs received many high quality entries with the judges’ split vote between Publicis Mojo’s ‘Italiana Downunder’ campaign for Subway – and Y&R Wellington’s ‘Cabbage Tree Accounting’ campaign.

In the end, Jack Delmonte, Hadleigh Sinclair & Guy Denniston (pictured left to right) from Publicis won by a whisker and Y&R’s Scott Henderson, Tony Haigh and Lisa Dupre were awarded a Merit.

Delmonte, Sinclair & Denniston now get to take the ORCA Mark1 trophy from last month’s winners, Ogilvy.

They also get $500, limited edition Martin Horspool certificates and a $5,000 radio schedule for Subway.

ORCAs close the 15th of every month.

The Publicis and Y&R teams now go through to the Grande ORCAs, where they’ll be competing for the trip for 2 to the Cannes Lions. Also in the running for the Cannes Trip will be Nigel Richardson and Steve Cooper from Ogilvy Wellington, who took the 2nd Merit for their ‘Survive Winter’ campaign for Consumer NZ.
