Auckland agency Republik & SET QR NZ bring Auckland waterfront to life via designer QR codes
Auckland ad agency Republik and SET QR NZ have teamed up to create an interactive self-guided walking history tour, via smartphone.
This is New Zealand’s first interactive self-guided walking tour. The QR codes link to short videos that give a compelling historical take on the area.
The walking tour tells the story of Jellicoe Street, The Cloud, Te Wero bridge, the Gantry, Silo park, Queen’s wharf and others – there are 13 unique codes to look out for in the area.
SET QR NZ are global leaders in designer QR codes with a clients such as Louis Vuitton, Time magazine, Disney, Moet, Warner Bros, and HSBC.
By linking the codes to online video together with back end tracking and analytics, this system has a broad range of uses for many brands in marketing, tourism, exhibition and export applications.
With Smartphone saturation in NZ now fast approaching 50%, you can be sure to see a lot more of these in the future.

FFS – Please tell me there is also an actual URL somewhere on those posters… Because last time I checked, NO iPhone or Android Handset shipped with a QR code reader.
QR is the agency’s new Bluetooth…
