Steve, what happened. This is so bad??
Lamo idea for sure……but the execution??
Wow – after the brilliance of the U.S spots…this is bad…
Compared to the US executions, this was terrible. Utterly terrible.
This is terrible.
Enough with the garbage kiwiana cliches.
holy shit this is bad!!!! Understand Mars NZ would of pressured you into this garbage colenso, but why PR it?
This really is so bad it’s embarrassing. Why on earth anyone would want their name attached to this or promote it is astounding. Certainly a front runner for the worse ad of 2012.
Wow…that’s just…..jesus….really?
This really isn’t quite as bad as the ‘omg’ reactions here suggest. Ok it’s copycat and not as quite good as the US versions, but then it’s an ad with Paul Henry, a non-actor. Let’s not forget all the dreadful ads with Graham Henry (marmite) and various All Blacks pebble dashing our screens. This at least has an idea in it. Chill out folks, it’s a refreshing change from all the retro gash and kiddie ads. Now back to those shelf wobblers.
A black day for everyone concerned.
Colenso- how the mighty have fallen!!!!
This wasn’t made to please wankers who spend their lives cutting down other peoples’ ideas. This works well and will bring a smile to New Zealanders who get Paul Henry. Nice work Colenso and Mars #and no I don’t work there#
Quite bad/refreshing change?
I just threw up in my mouth. And not just a little bit.
OMG OMG – This would look great on your reel along with all that e-DM, now brush your teeth and get back to your churn.
@ What Happended (sic) it’s would have, not would of…..
@Ahem – Either way the ad is still shit right?
Actually Ahem old bean, it shouldn’t really be ‘would have’ either. The correct construction is ‘I understand that Mars NZ pressured…’
Seriously, you’re mean when you’re hungry.
Why would creatives put their name to this?
a) it’s not their idea
b) it’s poorly executed
(Does the ad industry have an equivalent of Alan Smithee?)
shit budget shows
Judging by the write up this was not PR’ed by the agency.
I feel like I’ve just had a pine cone shoved up my arse.
Paul Henry as the face of Snickers as the face of Hangry is a top idea. Bummer it had to be a TVC.
