Clemenger BBDO Wellington bolsters creative department with four new appointments
Clemenger BBDO Wellington’s executive creative director, Philip Andrew has announced four new hires across the creative department today. The new appointments consist of Tony Haigh (left) as art director, Barney Ashton as copywriter, Pablo Arellano as art director and Erik Hay as creative team member.
Says Andrew: “It’s been more than 6 months in the making but we can now report we have a ‘posse’ of new blood joining Clemenger. Earlier in the year we fare-welled Jon Pickersgill and Sarah Chernishov to Nitro Brisbane and last Friday we dispatched South African Mitch Alison to the CD gig at S&S Wellington with a feast of BBQ wild animals.
“Tony and I had talked a couple of years ago about joining us so it’s very satisfying to finally have him here.
“New creative team copywriter Barney Ashton (left) and art director Pablo Arellano (below, left) join us from AMV and DDB London respectively. Barney arrived three weeks ago and will be joined by Pablo early next week. I met Barney and Pablo in London and after a few glasses of wine convinced them to come to Wellington for the sun and surfing. So far so good.
“Multi talented Erik Hay (bottom, left) ex partner at Story Melbourne joins us in October. Erik has worked with S&S NZ and London and will be a great addition to the creative team.”
